Cathy Cooper, OTL/R, CHT

Cathy Cooper, OTR/L, CHT, is an Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist at Tidewater Orthopaedics, where she is a valued member of the hand therapy team. She practices primarily out of the Hampton office and brings decades of experience in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation.

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Cathy earned her degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Kansas. She achieved her certification in hand therapy more than 20 years ago and has since built a career focused on helping patients restore function, strength, and independence following injury or surgery.

Throughout her career, Cathy has practiced occupational therapy in a variety of settings across the United States. She has happily called Smithfield, Virginia home for more than 15 years and is excited to continue serving patients in the Hampton Roads community with specialized, patient‑centered hand therapy care.
