TIDEWATER ORTHO HAND THERAPY

Your Hand Therapy appointment following your surgery will either take place at our Hampton or Williamsburg office in the same building as your Physician’s appointment. Depending on your insurance you may be referred to an outside location for your hand therapy, in which we will let you know at the time of scheduling your surgery. Hand Therapy is a skilled service that is separate from your physician’s post-op appointment. We are staffed with occupational Therapists with advanced training and specialized certifications in upper extremity rehabilitation.

**Your visit will include an evaluation for wound care, edema control, range of motion and following some specific surgical procedures, fabricated splinting as ordered by your Physician.**

**If your insurance requires a co-payment for therapy services, payment will be due the day of treatment. Therapy services/co-payments are not included in your 90 day postoperative global period.**
