Dr. Colin Kingston, originally from Long Island, New York, has been with Tidewater Orthopaedics in Hampton, VA since 2003. A proud former member of the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Kingston was a flight surgeon and an orthopaedic surgeon during operations Desert Storm, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom. He serves his patients by valuing their time, listening to their concerns, and doing his best to resolve those issues. He loves seeing his patients’ quality of life improve and the happiness it brings their families.
During his military service, Dr. Kingston attended medical school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland, and completed his residency at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium in Texas. While in medical school and in the U.S. Air Force, he enjoyed playing rugby. Prior to joining the military, Dr. Kingston earned his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Albany. Currently, he is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and the Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons, among others. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and has a subspecialty certificate in orthopaedic sports medicine.

Dr. Kingston lives in Yorktown with his wife and their two kids. In his spare time, Dr. Kingston is involved with his children’s extracurricular activities, and he pursues his interests in all sports and recreational activities, especially rugby, wrestling, golf, football, fishing, hiking, skiing, target shooting, kayaking, and scuba diving. Dr. Kingston also continues to enjoy mentoring young high school and college students who have an interest in pursuing a career in medicine.
