Dr. Paul Maloof, the board-certified (American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery), fellowship-trained (American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons) orthopaedic surgeon and foot and ankle doctor at Tidewater Orthopaedics, is committed to providing comprehensive care to patients from Hampton, Williamsburg, Newport News, and all surrounding Virginia communities. As a highly focused specialist, Dr. Maloof has extensive skill and experience in providing both conservative and surgical treatments.
At Tidewater Orthopaedics in Hampton Roads, we believe that a foot and ankle doctor and patient should work together as a team. The first step toward finding relief is reaching an accurate diagnosis. Dr. Maloof has a proven record of success in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of foot and ankle conditions, including:
Following a diagnosis, Dr. Maloof can recommend an individualized treatment plan and then carefully monitor the patient’s progress. Most forms of foot and ankle pain respond very well to non-surgical treatments like limited rest, activity modification, ice applications, physical therapy, custom orthotics (shoe inserts), and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications. In the event that conservative treatment is insufficient and Dr. Maloof believes that surgery is appropriate, he may recommend an advanced, minimally invasive procedure that can potentially reduce a patient’s hospital stay and recovery time. When necessary, he also performs traditional procedures, such as ankle fusion and total ankle replacement, and he is experienced in using the latest surgical techniques.
Dr. Maloof sees patients at our Hampton and Williamsburg, VA, locations. As our foot and ankle doctor, he is also affiliated with CarePlex Orthopaedic Ambulatory Surgery Center, Orthopaedic Hospital at Sentara CarePlex, Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center, and Mary Immaculate Hospital, where he performs surgery.
